You can choose to start either from Florence or from Milan, or you can even join your guide in La Spezia train station directly. According to your departure point the beginning of the tour will be fixed.
Meeting with your guide in La Spezia train station where you will leave by train for your excursion. First of all, you will visit Riomaggiore, the first of the 5 municipalities of Cinque Terre, founded in the ancient Grecian times. You will enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the rocky coast that merges with the deep blue sea. (you can also decide, if the weather is fine, to take the tour on a boat instead of using a train).
From Riomaggiore, take the "Love track", a beautiful walking path that connects the village with Manarola, the second evocative hamlet of Cinque Terre. The Love track is known worldwide for its wonderful landscape and interesting points of observation, from where you can admire the Cinque Terre Gulf and the unique flora of the region. The Love track owes its name from the habit of young lovers to take romantic walks here, from the very creation of the track.
From Manarola, get on board or jump on the train and arrive in Monterosso, the most important of the Cinque Terre centers. Before visiting the village, have lunch in a typical restaurant, where you will taste local typical products based on seafood specialties, and above all on the delicious basil pesto sauce. After lunch, enjoy a stroll in Monterosso quaint city center, admiring its colorful fishermen's houses, its narrow stony streets and its unique craftsmen's shops.
