09.30am :

Departing from Florence city centre and 10 minutes stop at Piazzale Michelangiolo, the most privileged point of observation to admire Florence breathtaking panoramas.

10.30am :

Wine cellars’ visit with wines and olive oil tastings at at a local farm immersed in the Tuscan countryside, where you will admire the unspoilt nature and the wonderful Chianti hills.

11.45am :

Tour of a second farm that produces cinta salami , wines and olive oil, cheeses and a spectacular balsamic vinegar. Aperitif with biological rosè wine and sparkling white wine, two of the best examples of local wines.

12.45pm :

Lunch with : fettunta and vegetable canapes from the veggie garden – cinta salami , variety of home made olive oil preserved vegetables, first pasta course with vegetable ragout or cinta ragout, home made cheese with balsamic vinegar, home made dessert. Luch will be accompanied by 3 different wines: Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Elogio ( Super Tuscan).

02.30pm :

Time at leisure in the medieval village of Castellina in Chianti, recently renovated and presenting well-preserved buildings dating back to the early Middle Age.

04.00pm :

Visit of Monteriggioni Castle, a fortress that was built in 1213 and defend its inhabitants for three centuries effectively. Legends talk about underground paths and secret passages that enabled people to move easily in the surrounding countryside. The fortress is so huge and menacing that even Dante Alighieri talks about it in his Divine Comedy.

05.30pm :

Arrival in the art city of Fiesole with a fantastic view over Florence. Possibility to visit San Francesco cloister, the Cathedral, the Etruscan tombs and the Roman Amphitheater. Enjoy a stroll around Fiesole and get enchanted by its Romantic atmosphere.
