Beginning of the trekking tour along the Etna volcano. Etna is one of the few volcanos that are still active, and you can still observe the most recent lava flows emerging from the surface. The panoramas is utterly wonderful: lavic rocks, moonscapes, breathtaking tracks. Take care and discover another world made of rocks, craters and caves. More specifically, you will visit Monte Fontana, which is a part of the whole vulcano, and its wonderful belvedere over the Bove Valley and the major craters, in order to enjoy a wonderful view from the top of the mountain. For those who want, a visit to a cave can be organized: you will observe the tunnel dug by lava in the mountain, accompanied by a qualified guide.
End of the tour and lunch near the volcano, in a typical restaurant of the area, where you will taste some local food based on meat, mushrooms, several vegetables and pistachios.
Enjoy a special wine tasting in the Gambino winery near the Etna area, where you will taste the best qualities of Sicilian wines.
Transfer back to Taormina or Siracusa.
